For today's Sunday Paper Review, Shane was joined by Sinead Ryan, columnist with the Herald and Independent, and Barry Devlin of Horslips.
The panel started by discussing the the issue of Dáil privilege, which was covered in most of today's papers.
It follows new claims about businessman Denis O'Brien's banking arrangements with IBRC. The claims were made under Dáil privilege this week by Independent TD Catherine Murphy, but cannot be reported because the matter is the subject of a High Court injunction.
Sinead said today sees "tonnes of coverage about what can't be covered... Really the story here is what can and cannot be reported on."
The FIFA alleged corruption scandal dominated headlines across the world this week. Barry observed that there's a great picture of Sepp Blatter on The Sunday Times this morning, "holding this trophy... and his expression saying 'no you can't have it back'."
Sinead added, "the only uplifting part of this story is that it is the Americans who have chased this story. They do love a good 'perp walk'".
Elsewhere, the trio discussed the €55k spend on biscuits by the Central Bank - adding plenty of puns of their own - and the news that Limerick is set to become a new centre for film.
