A military crackdown is continuing in Thailand.
General Prayuth Chan-ocha, Thailand's acting premier, has ordered 35 more people, including prominent academics, to report to them by this afternoon.
This raises to over 200 the number of political figures summoned to the military council in Bangkok. Those who refuse to present themselves face a fine of 40,000 baht (€900) and two years in prison.
The move comes a day after the army ordered more than 100 politicians, including Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, to attend the military council.
The military has already introduced heavy media censorship and banned public gatherings of over four people since it took power on Thursday.
The coup has been widely condemned across the international community, and experts expect it to further inflame political tensions in the country.
