A 15-year-old has died after climbing on to a freight train and coming into contact with an overhead cable in Wakefield, West Yorkshire in England.
The boy was treated by paramedics, but died at the scene, British Transport Police (BTP) said.
Two other teenagers - a 16-year-old male and 18-year-old female - were also injured in the incident around 6.40pm yesterday.
Their injuries were not thought to be life threatening. They were being treated at Pinderfields Hospital in Wakefield.
Describing the circumstances of the incident, a BTP spokesman said: "At this stage it would appear that the two boys and the female were on the railway line and the 15-year-old boy had climbed on to a freight train at the location."
Investigations are ongoing, but the incident is not being treated as suspicious, police said.
