A teenager has been injured in a shooting in Bray, Co. Wicklow.

The teen - who is understood to be 15 - was struck in the foot during an incident in the Fassaroe area at around 9:30 last night.

The teenager has been taken to St Vincent's Hospital in Dublin for treatment, and is said to be in a stable condition.

The scene has been preserved for a technical examination and garda searches in the area are continuing.
