The Taoiseach says he will thank the Irish people for their work in getting the country out of the Troika bailout. Enda Kenny is to address the nation on Sunday night to officially mark the end of the three-year programme.
He will speak to the nation at 9:30pm on Sunday nigh. It is the second time the Taoiseach will have made a live TV address, following a speech before the Budget two years ago.
Sunday marks the official expiry of the Irish funding deal with the IMF thereby ending Troika involvement with Ireland.
The separate three-year deal with the European Commission and European Central Bank (ECB) lapsed last Sunday.
Mr. Kenny says the message will be simple.
