It will be mostly cloudy in western and northern areas with scattered outbreaks of rain developing this morning - turning more persistent in north-western counties for a time this afternoon.
It will be bright starting out in eastern areas, once the mist and fog clears, with some sunny spells - but it is set to become generally cloudy with some patchy rain developing later.
Afternoon temperatures will range from 8 or 9 degrees in north-western areas in a freshening northwest breeze to about 14 or possibly 15 degrees Celsius in some southern and south-eastern parts.
