Today

This morning any frost and patches of fog in northern areas will gradually clear. Rain across Munster and south Leinster will slowly move northwards bringing some persistent falls to Atlantic coastal fringes but the rain will be more scattered and lighter. elsewhere.

In parts of Connacht and Ulster the rain could fall as sleet or snow at first. A clearance to milder and drier conditions will develop in the south and will extend to all areas by evening.

Highest temperatures of 6 to 12 degrees, coldest in the north. Moderate to fresh easterly winds will veer southerly with the clearance.

Tonight

Tonight will be cloudy, mild and mostly dry early in the night as rain will clear northern coastal counties. But later in the night in southwestern and western areas rain will develop and will extend eastwards towards dawn.

Lowest temperatures of 4 to 11 degrees with light to moderate southerly breezes.
