Dublin gardai uncovered a quantity of drugs in Blackrock last evening, after several UCD students were hospitalised after taking 'Scuzz' earlier this week.

Suspected LSD/Methamphetamin paper was recovered in the planned raid of a house in Obelisk Walk at 6:30pm.

The paper depicts a picture of the comic superhero Captain America. There have been no arrests to date and the investigation is ongoing.

Students are being warned not to take the potentially dangerous substance.

The victims were taken to hospital on Tuesday night, where they are believed to be in a stable condition.

The UCD Students Union has taken to Twitter and Facebook to highlight the potential dangers of the drug.

The Students Union says gardaí are worried that people could die if this batch of scuzz is not taken out of circulation.

Welfare and Equality officer Cian Dowling says the drugs may not be confined to UCD.

"There is a bad cocktail of drugs on the market at the minute - some sort of combination of LSD and amphetamines" he said.

"Probably most worryingly we've no reason to believe it's confined just to UCD - so it's quite a big problem in Dublin and possibly further" he added.
