A string of celebrities have added their backing to Sir Elton John's call for a boycott of fashion label Dolce and Gabbana.

It's after controversial comments about IVF.

In a magazine article, Domenico Dolce dismissed children born through IVF as 'chemical' and 'synthetic'. The Italians also said they oppose gay adoption.

Sir Elton - who has two sons born to a surrogate mother - called them judgemental and archaic.

 

How dare you refer to my beautiful children as "synthetic". And shame on you for wagging your judgemental little fingers at IVF - a miracle that has allowed legions of loving people, both straight and gay, to fulfil their dream of having children. Your archaic thinking is out of step with the times, just like your fashions. I shall never wear Dolce and Gabbana ever again. #BoycottDolceGabbana

His boycott's been backed by stars including Ricky Martin, Courtney Love and Martina Navratilova.

Stefano Gabbana says they didn't mean to 'judge other people's choices'.
