SsangYong has presented their next B-segment SUV offering at the 85th Motor Show in Geneva. The Tivoli is already proving successful with 7,000 orders within three weeks of being released in Korea during January.
“Tivoli is a big step forward for SsangYong, and people will now view the brand very differently after today. I am immensely proud of what has been achieved,” said CEO, Yoo-il Lee.
The car has been designed based on SsangYong’s philosophy of “Robust, Specialty and Premium.” It comes with a new body and two new engines; the 1.6 litre e-XDi160 diesel unit and the 1.6 litre e-XGI160 petrol engine. SsangYong says that this B-segment SUV will be available with automatic and manual transmissions and it will come with either a 2-wheel or 4-wheel drive system. The Tivoli will make it to Irish markets in June with the petrol unit, whereas the diesel unit will follow in July.
