Spanish officials say they are going to put down a pet dog belonging to a nurse who has caught ebola.

The woman is one of three people in quarantine in Madrid.

The regional government there says it is worried the dog could carry the disease and pass it on to humans.

Spain's health authorities say a total of 22 people are thought to have been in contact with the 40-year-old nurse.
