Reports in Spain say a young Nigerian man has tested negative for Ebola.

Officials put their alert protocols in place after he was rushed to hospital in Alicante with symptoms last night.

The alert comes a week after a Spanish priest who contracted the disease while working in Liberia died in hospital in Madrid.
Meanwhile, 17 Ebola patients are still missing after they ran away from a quarantine centre in Liberia when it was attacked by armed men.

Witnesses say a gang looted the facility in the capital.

29 people were receiving preliminary treatment there before being taken to hospital.
