More than 20,000 people have now died from COVID-19 in Spain.
It comes as the number of confirmed cases around the world passed 2.25 million.
Johns Hopkins University said there have now been 2,261,631 confirmed cases around the world with 154,789 deaths.
Meanwhile, some 577,060 people have recovered from the virus.
Spain has become the second country to pass 20,000 deaths after the country’s health authorities 565 further fatalities in the last 24 hours.
It means 20,043 have been recorded there.
Only the US and Italy have had more deaths.
The US has seen the highest number of deaths with 32,823 followed by Italy with 22,745.
France has the fourth-highest with 18.681 with the UK in fifth at 14,576.
