Dublin Bus is reportedly looking at the possibility of all-night services in Dublin City.
The State-owned transport company is reported to be examining it as part of a review of its existing Nitelink services with the National Transport Authority, the Irish Times reports.
At the moment, the bus services run until 11.30pm but they also run some Nitelink services on Friday and Saturday night.
When pressed on the issue, a representative for Dublin Bus said that “everything was under review”.
Meanwhile, talks on controversial plans to put 10% of bus routes operated by Dublin Bus and Bus Éireann out to tender get underway today.
Unions have warned against the plans, saying if they go ahead it could lead to the privatisation of routes and affect their terms and conditions.
