Some 150 people are believed to have died in an attack by Boko Haram on a remote village in Nigeria.

Details of the attack have only begun to emerge today, although it is believed the attack happened as early as last Thursday.

Dozens of militants arrived on motorcycles at a remote village in the state of Yobe, according to reports.

A number of the victims were killed in the attack, but many more are thought to have died while attempting to escape by jumping into a nearby river.
