Greyhound Recycling claims a High Court order stopping protesters blockading bin trucks has been breached.

It is taking contempt proceedings against several employees and local People Before Profit politician, Gino Kenny.

After nearly three months of pickets at the Greyhound depot in Dublin, fresh talks to try end the acrimonious row over pay cuts got underway this morning.

As those negotiations were taking place, lawyers for the company appeared in the High Court.

They say they plan to go ahead with contempt proceedings against a number of employees and People Before Profit councillor Gino Kenny who was in court.

Greyhound claims there have been a number of breaches of a court order last month stopping protesters blockading bin lorries.

The case will be heard next Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the SIPTU delegation at the Labour Relations Commission (LRC) - led by divisional organiser Owen Reidy - has refused to comment at this "critical" stage.

But Greyhound director Michael Buckley says "everything" will be on the table and he hopes a deal can be reached today.
