A Sinn Féin TDs has announced he will not be contesting the next general election.
Michael Colreavy, who was first elected to the Dáil in 2011, informed supporters in Sligo and North Leitrim of his decision last night.
In a statement, Deputy Colreavy said he wants to spend more time at home with his family and grandchildren.
Mr Colreavy lives in Manorhamilton, Co Leitrim and has have eight adult children.
He is currently the Sinn Féin spokesperson on agriculture, fisheries and food in the Dáil.
He joined Sinn Féin in 1979 and was branch secretary of IMPACT and president of Sligo Council of Trade Unions.
Mr Colreavy recently retired from his job with the Health Service Executive (HSE) to concentrate on community representation.
