Musician Kurt Cobain was found dead from gunshot wounds on the 8th April 1994, 20 years ago this month.
A note discovered in his wallet at the time of his death was kept secret until now, but adds fuel to the conspiracy theory that his troubled personal life and marriage played a large part in his demise.
The Seattle Police Department have recently released new photos from the scene where Kurt Cobain's body was found, including a handwritten note from Cobain which was found in his wallet.
The note is about Courtney Love and it mocks her and their wedding vows.
Written on Phoenix Hotel stationery, it reads:
"Do you Kurt Cobain take Courtney Michelle Love to be your lawful shredded wife even when she's a bitch with zits and siphoning all yr money for doping and whoring..."
This note starkly contrasts his 'official' suicide note, in which he called Love "a goddess of a wife who sweats ambition and empathy."
Questions surrounding Cobain's death have endured for 20 years and some fans believe his stormy, drug-addled relationship with rock-star wife Courtney Love may have played a part in his death.
