Last night SEAT showed their vision for 2020 by unveiling the 20V20 show car. The manufacturer tells us that this SUV has been designed to show the world the direction in which the development of their vehicles is going.
Speaking at yesterday’s presentation in Geneva, SEAT President, Jürgen Stackmann said; “The 20V20 shows our ambition. It is our guiding star and the lighthouse for our development for the coming five-year period”.

The SEAT Leon has been doing brilliantly for the brand and Mr Stackmann tells us that the Leon formula will be applied to their entire range. SEAT also tells us that they are going to look into more profitable segments. Their focus is set to shift from the small car category to the compact car category. Mr Stackmann revealed that they will commit themselves to enhancing connectivity through a new agreement they have with SAMSUNG.
The 20V20 (which means 2020 vision) combines a four-door sports coupé with an SUV. It is 4.659 metres long and dons 20-inch wheels. We’re told that the show car delivers power to its wheels through a DSG transmission and electronically controlled all-wheel drive. Engine options include high-performance TSI, TDI and plug-in hybrid systems.
SEAT also presented their Toledo FR Line (which is a sportier alternative than before) as well as their new Leon ST Cupra. The Leon ST Cupra offers 0-100km/h in just 6.0 seconds and this estate offers maximum load space of 1,470 litres.
