Ryanair says a call received about an explosive device on one of its aircraft was a hoax.
Modlin Airport in the Polish capital Warsaw received the anonymous call this morning that there was an explosive device on a Ryanair flight due to take off from there at 8:40am.
A man has been detained by police over the incident.
Airport security authorities ordered an immediate inspection of the aircraft - which had not yet boarded.
They closed the airport to inbound arrivals as a precaution.
The security sweep of the plane - which was to fly to Oslo - confirmed it was a hoax and the aircraft has returned to service.
Modlin Airport has since re-opened.
"Ryanair sincerely apologises to the customers of the outbound Oslo flight for any inconvenience caused by this hoax call," the airline said in a statement.
The carrier also reiternated there was no emergency landing, and that the flight had not yet boarded or departed.
