Revenge is a dish best served cold - and tonight is a once in a lifetime opportunity for Rose of Tralee hopeful Jenny Hanlon.

She is one of 14 hopefuls who will take to the stage in the finale of the pageant in the festival dome in Tralee tonight.

The Louth Rose was mortified on live television yesterday when the Monaghan Rose indicated she fancies her brother.

Host Dáithí Ó Sé told Newstalk Lunchtime Jenny will have an opportunity to exact her revenge when she takes to the stage later.

Last year saw Philadelphia Rose, Maria Walsh, crowned as the 56th Rose of Tralee.

The final will be broadcast on RTÉ One from 8pm tonight.
