A man suffered a heart attack after two men tried to rob him in a park in Britain - but he still managed to get photos of them.

The amateur photographer had been taking pictures of flowers at Priory Park in Dudley, in the West Midlands, when two men approached on a motorbike and tried to steal his camera.

The man (69), who already had a heart condition, collapsed with a heart attack but managed to take photos of the would-be robbers before crawling back to his house to call an ambulance.

He is now in hospital facing life-saving surgery, police say.

The motorbike involved is also thought to have been used in the theft of another motorcycle.

Detective Inspector Nigel Smith, from Dudley Police, said officers are trawling local CCTV to see if the pair have been captured elsewhere.

He said: "I would like to hear from anyone who recognises the two in the images or anyone who has information which will lead us to them."

"A park is a place of leisure and Dudley residents should be able to enjoy them without fear of crime, so we need to find those responsible quickly."
