Cocaine worth almost €800,000 has been seized at Dublin Port.

The drugs were found on a freight vehicle as it disembarked a ferry. Officials from Revenue and An garda Síochána found approximately 11.2kgs of the drug, with an estimated street value of €784,000.

The search was carried out as part of a joint operation between Revenue and Gardai.

A 38-year-old man has been arrested and is being questioned at Store Street Garda Station.
