Gardai have renewed their warning about radioactive material stolen recently in north Dublin. The seven lightning preventers were taken from a business premises at the end of September.
Gardai say the items are highly dangerous and that people should not approach or touch these items. They were taken after a burglary which happened in Swords over the weekend of 27th to 29th of September.
The Radiological Protection Institute of Ireland (RPII) has also renewed its appeal on Twitter.

They are described as seven lightning preventers, which were contained in a red metal box. They have the appearance of aluminium or stainless steel but are of no scrap value.

Speaking back on October 2nd, the Chief Executive of the RPII Dr. Ann McGarry expressed her concerns.
