World Cup fever has struck all over the world and one comedian has swapped yellow taxis for yellow cards in New York City.

In the video, Yoni dresses as a referee and hands out cards to disgruntled and confused pedestrians.

Bookable offences according to Referee Yoni include inappropriate selfie taking, blocking other walking pedestrians, badly impersonating Super Mario and wearing sandals in the dirty streets of the city.

Internet comedy juggernaut Funny or Die have even praised Yoni's comedy take on the World Cup, commenting on the video, "Finally someone is keeping New York City under control. This is why flopping in New York City is a thing of the past. Well done, sir."
