Seven people have been arrested for public order offences Dublin.

The arrests were made following disturbances on the Greenhills Road in Tallaght, Dublin.

It is understood that those arrested were involved in an animal cruelty protest, as protesters apparently clashed with the employees of the Circus Belly Wien.

There are some reports that the protests resulted in people being hospitalized with injuries.
