There have been a number of intense protests across the country in relation to water charges over the past few days.

Last night, hundreds of people turned out for a demonstration as Enda Kenny arrived for an event in Sligo, with some surrounding his car, and one man climbing on the bonnet.

Over the weekend, Joan Burton was trapped in her car for over two hours during a protest in Jobstown, Dublin.
