Dublin Fire Brigade (DFB) is urging children and parents to exercise caution around "extremely dangerous" fireworks and bonfires this Halloween.
The warning comes as part of the DFB's 'Be Safe, Be Seen' safety awareness campaign which includes a video message available on YouTube, ahead of one of the "busiest nights of the year".
Pat Fleming, the Chief Fire Officer with DFB says, "Adults in particular are requested to keep a watchful eye on the very young, the very old, and the vulnerable members of our society."
Meanwhile Dublin City Council has been cracking down on bonfires, asking the pubic to report any stockpiles of tyres and wood in their area.
