A man has been shot by police after a stand-off in Brixton, south London.
The man suffered serious injuries and is being treated in hospital, police say.
He was shot by officers outside a residential building on Tilson Gardens around 4.45pm.
Officers from Lambeth police had gone to the property earlier in the day with a housing officer as part of an eviction.
"At 09:45hrs unarmed officers attempted to enter the property," a statement from police said.
"As they were doing so a man was seen emerging from one of the rooms in the property.
"Officers withdrew from the property and a police negotiator, London Ambulance Service and firearm officers were called to the scene.
"Shortly before 16:46hrs the man was shot by police outside of the premises."
