A 25-year-old man accused of murdering his mother in Cork city last week has been further remanded in custody.
Paul Horgan of Murmont Avenue, Montenotte is charged with murdering Marian Horgan at the family home on Monday November 28th.
The student was charged last week at Cork District Court, and was remanded in custody to appear again today.

He did not attend the hearing today - and a letter from the prison was submitted to say that he was not fit to attend.
He was remanded in continuing custody until December 10th.
