The alleged ringleader of the Paris attacks was close to the Bataclan theatre while the attacks were still underway, according to the Paris prosecutor.

Prosecutor Francois Molins has said that mobile phone data shows Belgian jihadist Abdelhamid Abaaoud probably returned to the Bataclan theatre while police were still in the area, and also visited the restaurants and cafes targeted in the attack.

Mr Molins said that it appears Abaaoud was planning a suicide bombing in the Paris business district La Defense, perhaps son November 18 or 19.

Meanwhile, Belgian police ahve issued a warrant for the arrest of a 30-year-old man they say was seen driving a car with fugitive Salah Abdeslam two days before the Paris attacks.

Mohamed Abrini was seen on CCTV at a petrol station on November 11, Belgian prosecutors said. He was driving a Renault Clio used in the Paris attacks.

Abdeslam has been the target of an international man hunt but remains at large.
