A survivor of the Paris terror attacks has told how he looked one of the terrorists in the eye moments before he blew himself up in a fast food restaurant.

Bley Bilal Mokono was out with his 13-year-old son and was grabbing a sandwich in a branch of Quick opposite the Stade de France when he brushed shoulders with one of the attackers in the toilets, who looked "sweaty and worried".

He then saw a second individual near the restaurant's entrance and said he stared at him as he "seemed uncomfortable and suspicious".

Moments later, after returning to the restaurant, Mr Mokono said he was about to start eating his meal when there was a loud "boom".

He told Le Parisien: "I was blown back by the force of the explosion, maybe 10 metres.

"I saw the guy blow up so I can say that this was terrorism, not gas or a bomb that was left.

"It was like a scene from a war, like when I've seen war on TV."

As Mr Mokono helped a woman who had been blown off her feet by the blast, a second bomber activated his suicide belt - causing another huge blast.

Mr Mokono's son was in the restaurant's toilet when the bombs went off, but he saw the horrific aftermath.

He added: "When my son came out and saw the stand (where his father had been) he saw his father wasn't there, he saw the bodies that had exploded, an arm - that was hard for him. He saw bodies on the ground."

Mr Mokono - a Socialist Party activist - said he has been suffering from hearing loss, pain in his leg and a damaged clavicle since the attack.
