The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has heard claims that a Central Bank auditor was asked to remove several negative findings from an internal report.
The auditor was later sacked from the bank and is taking legal action over their dismissal.
But the PAC heard today that the internal report still went on to highlight major problems in the internal governance of the bank.

The issue was raised by Mary Lou McDonald, who has received contact from the whistleblower.
