One in six people in Ireland have literacy difficulties.

A new report from the OECD shows that some of these may not be able to understand basic written information.

Ireland ranks 15 out of 24 participating countries when it comes to literacy.

We don't fare any better on numeracy skills, with one in four of those surveyed encountering problems.

The average for the other participating countries is 20%.
