The Independent has: "Harrowing scenes at funerals for fire victims".

Miriam Lord has a story in The Irish Times: "Five caskets make the saddest of sights".

The Examiner goes with: "Final journey for Carrickmines family".

They also share the common lead story - it is all about the security assessments North and South about the continued existence of the IRA Council.

The Independent goes with: "IRA Army Council runs Sinn Féin says provos - paramilitary review says IRA members believe Army Council oversees Sinn Féin".

The Times: "Only weeks to save government Stormont, Robinson claims".

The Examiner: "No State action on IRA legacy claims - no knee-jerk response despite findings of two seperate reports".

And that paper has a story about pay: "71% of employees set to receive pay rises in 2016".

The Irish Daily Mail: "So do you answer to the IRA, or to voters Mary Lou?".

The Herald: "Jailed for punching a grandmother after mass, a thug who punched a great-grandmother on her way home from mass has been jailed for two years".

The Irish Daily Star: "Pope - I pray for you all" and a picture of the Bray funeral cortege.

The Irish Sun: "Goodbye Mam - Tom (4) out of hospital as parents waked".

The Irish Daily Mirror: "Boy (8) savaged by dog - a schoolboy suffered horrific injuries after being savaged by a dog".

The Examiner has what Ivan said was a picture of real Irish country life: "A man at Kilrush District Court was ordered to pay €250 to the poorbox after being found guilty of a drive-by insult to a garda".

His solicitor described how his client verbally abused the garda after taking offence to being called: "A big man on a small bike".

In evidence, the garda said he believed offence was intended because he is slightly rotund and was cycling on a child's bike.

But he told the judge he paid the man back in kind by insulting him in kind - for the choice language he used, have a look at the article.

60% of Irish people have never had a sexual health check, according to research published in The Sun. Most do not know the symtoms of STIs.
