The O2 sign above the Dublin music venue formerly known as the Point Depot was removed earlier today.
It is believed the branding was removed following the completion of Three Ireland’s €780 million takeover of the mobile network yesterday.
A crane was seen this morning yanking the iconic signage from the roof of the premises were it has been visible since The Point was refurbished in 2007.
Three Ireland are set to re-brand the building next Wednesday (September 10th) into “Ireland’s biggest, most exciting music venue” but has not confirmed its new name.
