A farmer in North Dakota paid tribute to Prince by ploughing his famous symbol into one of his fields.
Gene Hanson, a retired farmer from the town of Edgeley in the state, decided to make the gesture on Friday because he always liked the song 'Purple Rain'.
After searching for an image of the symbol on the internet, the 75-year-old said that he printed it off and put it on the dashboard of his tractor to act as a guide.
The resulting image is about the size of a football field and is big enough to be seen from the air, but Hanson stated that it was only temporary as the field was seeded on Monday.
