Negotiators at the Paris Climate Summit have agreed a draft agreement to reduce the world's carbon emissions.
The document is seen as a starting point for ministers from 195 countries, who will try to finalise the deal in talks that begin on Monday.
The draft is still said to contain hundreds of points of disagreement, but it is hoped a final agreement can be reached before the end of next week.
"This text marks the will of all to reach an agreement. We are not at the end of the route. Major political issues are yet to be resolved," French climate ambassador Laurence Tubiana said of the draft document.
The plan comes after years of negotiations, which have culminated in the ongoing UN COP21 summit in Paris.
The summit is focused on achieving "a legally binding and universal agreement on climate, with the aim of keeping global warming below 2°C".
The talks have been attended by world leaders, as well as well-known personalities such as Leonardo di Caprio and Sean Penn.
Meanwhile, a survey by the Sustainable Energy Authority shows that less than half of Irish people believe climate change is a 'serious problem'.
