A murder investigation has been launched after a man injured at a house in Drogheda earlier this month died in hospital.
44-year-old Marius Juodenas was found seriously injured at a house on Barrack Street in Dundalk on July 5th.
He was brought to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda before being transferred to Beaumont Hospital, where he was placed on life support.
He was pronounced dead at Beaumont Hospital yesterday.
A post-mortem was carried out; however, Gardaí said the result are not being released for operational reasons.
An incident room has been set up at Dundalk Garda Station and Gardaí are now appealing for witnesses.
They are urging anyone who was near Barrack Street between 6:30pm and 7:00pm on Tuesday 5th July 2022, to come forward.
They are particularly interested in talking to anyone who may have footage, including dash-cam footage, from the area at the time.
A family liaison officer has been appointed to Mr Juodenas’ family to keep them informed of the investigation.
