Motorists are being advised not to drive this morning if they over celebrated last night.

Twice as many arrests are made for drink-driving on the national holiday and the day after, than on other days during the month of March.

Gardai say they will be out in force right around the country as the St Patrick's Day celebrations come to an end for another year.
