Two civilians and a police officer have been killed in a shooting at a family planning clinic in the US.

Nine people - including five officers - were also wounded in the attack in Colorado Springs, but are said to be in a good condition in hospital.

The suspected gunman is now in custody.

New research shows that over half of all IFA members intend to cancel their membership.

A man critically injured in a workplace accident in Cork city on Monday has died.

The victim, who was in his 50s, sustained head injuries when the cherry picker he was using tipped over at Bus Éireann's Capwell garage.

The HSA, Gardaí and Bus Eireann are all investigating.

A protest in Dublin that is stopping modular homes being built could leave more than 20 families homeless for Christmas.

Housing charity Focus Ireland is pleading with people to stop blocking the entrance to the site in Poppintree in Ballymun.

Local residents there claim they had invested €5,000 each in the site - which was meant to be developed for other social housing projects.

The Protect Rural Ireland movement has mounted anti re-election campaigns on a number of sitting TDs, who the group says are damaging rural Ireland.
