Marches calling for action against climate change are taking place in Ireland and around the world today.

Thousand are expected to turn out in Dublin, Cork, Galway Belfast cities.

The biggest march, in Dublin is kicking off at the Custom House at 2 o'clock.

The Taoiseach is in Brussels today to discuss the refugee crisis with European leaders.

EU leaders will meet with the Turkish prime minister in the hopes of improving relations with Ankara.

The meeting comes less than a week since Turkey shot down a Russian fighter jet - the first time a member of NATO shot a Russian or Soviet plane since the 1950s.

Russia is calling for sanctions on Turkish goods and a ban on charter flights to Turkey

A vigil has been held in the US state of Colorado for the three people who died in a shooting at a family planning clinic.

A 57-year-old man is due in court tomorrow after a stand-off which lasted several hours on Friday.

Nine other people were injured during the shoot-out at the Planned Parenthood clinic.

Tax revenues are reported to show the economy growing at a rate not seen since the Celtic Tiger years.

Motorists and cyclists are being urged to take extra precautions as Storm Clodagh hammers the island.

Clodagh is set to bring winds of up to 130 kilometres per hour to Ireland today.
