A lockdown at the Savannah State University in Georgia has been lifted after a shooting in which a man was injured.

Police had been called to the scene and students were told to stay in place and cooperate with officers.

The campus is located in the heart of the city.

A boat packed with migrants has sunk off the coast of Libya, and up to 200 people are feared dead.

Rescuers say many appeared to have been trapped in the hold when the vessel capsized.
