Gardaí are appealing for the mother of a baby girl, whose remains were found at a waste plant in Wicklow yesterday, to come forward.

The newborn infant was discovered by a worker at the Greenstar facililty in Fassaroe near Bray.

A post-mortem is taking place later today. Gardaí say there does not appear to be any injuries to the infant, who may have been still-born.
