Fianna Fáil leader Micheal Martin says he is confident he will lead his party into the next General Election, despite media reports he could be facing a heave.
Party Chief Whip Sean O'Fearghail has described the party's position in opinion polls as “depressing” and “bloody demoralising."
Reports this morning suggested Deputy Martin has been warned that if Fianna Fáil fails to win the upcoming Carlow-Kilkenny by-election, he will be ousted.

Micheal Martin has denied the rumours. He says he'll lead the party into 1916.
