Met Eireann have issued a 'status yellow' rainfall warning for parts of the West and North of the country.
Munster, Connacht and Donegal are to be the worst affected with heavy thundery downpours likely leading to local spot flooding.

Very intense rainfall is possible over short periods of time until late this evening.
A 'status yellow' blight warning has also been issued as weather conditions conducive to the spread of Potato blight are expected to occur.

The eastern half of the country is most at risk between now and Wednesday, however, there will be some limited opportunities for spraying.
According to Met Eireann, a status yellow weather alert does not pose an immediate threat to the general population, but only to those exposed to risk by nature of their location and/or activity.
