MCD has apologised for 'prematurely’ announcing a Noel Gallagher gig in Dublin this summer.

In a statement, the company said the mistake was “due to over-enthusiasm on our behalf”.

It has apologised to Gallagher and his fans and confirmed that tickets will not now go on sale this week.
