It will come as no surprise that Irish students out-drink their European counterparts on average. But the internal detail makes for interesting reading.
According to a survey of 3,500 University College Dublin alumni from a variety of counties and backgrounds, certain parts of the country are more into their booze than others.
While there is an apparent drought in the north courtesy of Donegal and Monaghan, southern areas like Cork, Waterford and Kilkenny where the average student drinks more than 350 drinks per year.
The reported also noted that boys who attended all-boy's schools or boarding schools drank more than those who went to mixed-sex schools.
