Gardaí have sealed off a house in the Carraroe area of Galway as they investigate the death of a man found in a quarry near Liscannor in Co. Clare.
The remains were found near the Cliffs of Moher this morning as part of an investigation into the disappearance of a man (41).
Adrian Folan, who is from Galway, was last seen in Athlone town on the night of July 3rd, and gardai are investigating whether he may have been killed in a drink-fuelled row.
A post mortem is due to be carried out at the Mid-Western Regional Hospital in Limerick.
A man has been arrested in connection with the discovery of the body in Connemara. He is being held at Mill Street garda station in Galway.

Up until his disappearance, Mr. Folan had been studying in Athone IT and was last seen in Athlone town last Thursday night.
Gardaí began appealing for information about his whereabouts yesterday when they became gravely concerned for his safety.
