A man has been stabbed to death at a house in County Wexford.

Gardaí said it happened at a home in Enniscorthy at around 12:30am this morning

The man, aged in his early 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene after he was found with apparent stab wounds.

Another man, also aged in his 40s, was arrested a short distance away. He is being held at Wexford Garda Station.

The scene has been sealed off for a full technical examination and the Office of the State Pathologist has been notified.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses or anyone with any information to come forward.
